After I had my daughter, I started noticing my hair thinning.

At first, I told myself it was just normal postpartum shedding. But as the weeks went by, more and more hair kept coming out, and eventually it became something I couldn't ignore.

It wasn't just about losing hair.

It was about losing a little part of myself at a time when everything in my life had already changed. I didn't feel like the woman I recognised anymore.

I wanted to feel like myself again, but I also wanted to care for my hair in a way that felt natural and gentle.

During my travels through Africa, Asia, North and South America, and Australia, I became fascinated by the way different cultures had used botanical oils for generations. Everywhere I went, there was a deep respect for plants and their ability to care for the body, whether that was the skin, hair or overall wellbeing.

That stayed with me.

So I started researching the oils that had been used in traditional hair rituals for centuries. Castor oil, avocado oil, pumpkin seed oil, baobab oil, rosemary, evening primrose and many more.
